Leeny's News
Leeny Del Seamonds stars in the international Television and DVD series Ribert & Robert's WonderWorld, a children's program encouraging viewers to "love to learn and learn to love in everything you do!." In the series, Leeny plays Leeny the Story Performer and writes/performs her own segments. Seventy-five episodes currently air in over 120 PBS stations throughout the country and worldwide, and Leeny is proud to part of this acclaimed series.
Ribert & Robert's WonderWorld won a 2006 iParenting Media Winner Award for “the best in family friendly television that entertains, educates and inspires children and adults,” and The Coalition for Quality Children's Media (KIDS FIRST) has endorsed the series with its ALL-STAR rating, the organization's highest award (for the second year in a row). MarVista Entertainment is the worldwide distributor for both television and DVD's outside the United States and successfully presented the series at the MIP Conference in Cannes, France, in October 2005.
NEWS FLASH! Ribert & Robert's WonderWorld has been airing on Kid's Central (MediaCorp TV 12), the largest and most popular children's television station in Singapore and China. In addition, the show is offered through Google Video and is broadcast in over 170 countries worldwide on AFN, the American Forces Network.
Ribert & Robert's WonderWorld has successfully been renegotiated to broadcast on commercial television stations across the U.S. while retaining all public television relationships. R & R airs on its first FOX affiliated station, FOX 23 in Maine at 7:00 AM on Sunday mornings. Few Public Television programs are able to cross over to the entertainment networks, which is another testimony to the very wide appeal of the show! Look for Deos' newest venture (featuring the Ribert & Robert show) called WonderWorldTV.com.
MORE NEWS! In October, 2008, Leeny Del Seamonds performed at Comix comedy club, New York City, to a sold out crowd. Leeny's performance was part of a Book Release Party for "Holy Headshots!" (in which Leeny is featured) published by Simon & Schuster.
Leeny Del Seamonds' two new CDs, "It Takes Two to Tango" (an alluring, witty & insightful look at relationships) and "Shadows in the Woods" (spine-tingling original tales) have been receiving rave reviews and are going fast. For more details about Leeny's CDs, click here.
On a personal note...We are pleased to announce a new addition to our family with a grandson. He's a bundle of joy and so sweet. We continue to enjoy our beautiful granddaughter. She sings on key and can carry on intelligent, engaging conversations with the best of 'em! Pop-Pop Grant and Lita Leeny ("Lita" is short for abuelita, little grandmother) are thrilled. We especially enjoy reading, singing and laughing with them. Let the 'spoiling with love' continue!

July 31 - Leeny Del Seamonds records live telling of her original story "Castro Dolls and Familia" for Race Bridges Videos; 11:15 a.m. at NSN Conference, L.A.
August 30 - Leeny Del Seamonds presents "Teaching and Telling Storytelling with Children," 1:00 p.m. on the Red River Radio's Storytelling Show; interview with April Robbins.
